Welcome to the September 2012 issue of WOX (World of XOOPS) Newsletter   (see here previous versions ). 

A small celebration: this is the 50th issue of our WOX Newsletter!

We have closed September on a positive note - on Sept. 29, 2012 we had the opportunity to present XOOPS at the CodeWorks PHP Conference in Cincinnati .

Two months ago we've announced that the cross-marketing agreement with our host has not be renewed, and therefore we need $100/month to pay for our dedicated server. Also last month the community came through! Within the first week we had the required donations for October! THANK YOU SO MUCH to everybody who donated money (see the list below)!

• Presentation "OOP Adventures with XOOPS"

• XOOPS 2.6.0 Alpha 1 has been released for testing

• XOOPS is August "Project of the Month" on SourceForge

• XOOPS Innovation Award - for people who create something very unique and innovative for XOOPS. This time the award goes to  Martin Logan ( playsome ) from UK for his work on the Whitlawburn Community Resource Centre website.
